Self-proclaimed “Prince of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon, former host of daytime talk show The Talk, have listed their 11,500-square-foot estate in Hancock Park, Los Angeles, for $18 million. Purchased in 2015 for nearly $12 million, the couple completely revamped both the interior and exterior, modernizing the space but retaining its old-world Hollywood charm.
According to the listing of the house, the Mediterranean Revival-style mansion was built in 1929 by architect AK Kellogg, and comes complete with six bedrooms and eleven bathrooms, a separate guest house above the garage, and an elevator to all floors.
The beautiful entrance to the house has an expansive, manicured lawn leading to an extensive arched doorway and arched windows, enhanced by oak and Italian cypress trees. The rear garden is equally stunning with a dining area in the dreamy loggia of the house, open to lawn views, a mosaic tile swimming pool and a latticed area that continues the Mediterranean theme of the property.
The main house chef’s kitchen features hardwood floors, a centrally located banquet and a hanging cooking rack. A fireplace in the plush all-red cinema room is embellished with the autographs of famous Hollywood actors and musicians of the golden age, such as Rita Moreno and Nancy Sinatra.
Upstairs, the primary suite stands out with a full sitting area, double bathrooms and double walk-in closets. The site also reports that if sold for the asking price, the property will be one of the most expensive homes in the area.
